In the new era, women empowerment has been earmarked as the surest way to achieve development. The United Nations through Sustainable Development Goal Five- Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls; seeks to achieve this. The Kenya Government has also taken cognizance of the importance of women in the achievement of the Kenya Vision 2030.
During the training, the women leaders had the opportunity to visit the Genocide memorial Museums both in Kigali and out of the City. This was important for them to spearhead peaceful co-existence between communities in their counties.
